The organisation must satisfy the general sponsor licensing requirements as well as requirements specific to the International Sportsperson route. It must also obtain the appropriate endorsement from the Home Office-approved governing body for the relevant sport.

Not every overseas sportsperson coming to the UK requires permission under the International Sportsperson route.
