Football has a particularly developed regulatory framework governing agent activity. FIFA’s Football Agent Regulations operate at international level, while national associations may maintain regulations applicable to domestic activity.

FIFA’s framework regulates football-agent services and representation agreements, including circumstances involving international transactions. In England, The FA Football Agent Regulations apply alongside the FIFA framework. The current FA regulations for the 2026/27 season came into force on 1 June 2026.
